Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
Prohibited uses of BeDeeper and The Lantern.
Defined terms carry the meanings given in BeDeeper's shared legal definitions unless expressly redefined here.
In plain language
This Policy sets out the small number of things you agree not to do with BeDeeper and with The Lantern. It reads with Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and User-Generated Content. Violation of this Policy may lead to moderation, suspension, or termination as described in Account Termination.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to your use of BeDeeper: every route, every destination, every API endpoint, every stored resource, and every dialogue with The Lantern. It applies whether you use BeDeeper as a member, a Founding Member, a trial user, or in any other capacity.
2. What you agree not to do
You agree not to use BeDeeper — or induce BeDeeper, The Lantern, or any BeDeeper subprocessor — to do any of the following. Some of the categories overlap. All apply.
2.1 Unlawful activity
- Break applicable law.
- Infringe intellectual-property rights of any person, including through uploads, prompts, or other content.
- Send, request, or store material whose mere existence on BeDeeper would violate applicable law — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content unlawful in the jurisdiction where you reside.
2.2 Harm to people
- Threaten, harass, stalk, or promote violence against any person or group.
- Encourage or provide instructions for self-harm, suicide, or violence against others. If you are struggling, please see Wellness Disclaimer for crisis resources.
- Attempt to extract sensitive personal data about a real person from The Lantern (doxing, sensitive-data profiling).
- Impersonate a real person, a professional (therapist, physician, lawyer), or a BeDeeper staff member.
2.3 Abuse of The Lantern
- Try to bypass, disable, or circumvent Lantern safety behavior, including the Lantern Covenant boundaries described in
01_Foundation. - Prompt The Lantern to provide medical, clinical, legal, or financial advice held out as authoritative, in violation of AI Disclaimer.
- Prompt The Lantern to diagnose, prescribe for, or predict outcomes for any person.
- Prompt The Lantern to interpret dreams, deliver prophecy, or declare a member's Discovery or purpose.
- Use The Lantern's output to make consequential decisions (health, legal, financial, safety) about others.
2.4 Fraud and evasion
- Provide false information to BeDeeper or a BeDeeper subprocessor.
- Attempt to defeat billing, trial, or Founding-milestone controls (for example, creating multiple accounts to obtain another trial).
- Initiate a chargeback as a substitute for a refund request that would have been available under Refund & Cancellation, or use chargebacks to bypass that Policy repeatedly.
2.5 Security abuse
- Probe, scan, or test BeDeeper for vulnerabilities without following the responsible-disclosure process in Security & Data Protection.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload BeDeeper, its subprocessors, or their networks, including through denial-of-service or brute-force techniques.
- Attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or exploit techniques into BeDeeper.
2.6 Scraping, resale, and reverse engineering
- Scrape, crawl, download, or bulk-collect BeDeeper content or the writing of other members.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, prompts, or model weights of any BeDeeper component or subprocessor (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law).
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to BeDeeper.
- Use BeDeeper as a general AI service or proxy to a language model (for example, to run unrelated prompts through The Lantern for outside purposes).
2.7 Misuse of member surfaces
- Use BeDeeper for advertising, recruiting, marketing, political campaigning, or promoting outside products or services.
- Attempt to open BeDeeper to accounts or agents that are not real natural persons using BeDeeper for its intended reflective purpose.
- Automate access with bots or scripts in a way that is not necessary for personal accessibility use of your own account.
2.8 Content BeDeeper does not host
- Hate content, harassment content, or content that dehumanizes people on the basis of any protected characteristic.
- Sexual content involving minors (in any form).
- Content that facilitates real-world harm — instructions for weapons of mass destruction, malware development, or trafficking.
- Spam.
3. BeDeeper's response
If BeDeeper reasonably believes you have breached this Policy, BeDeeper may — with restraint and proportionate to the breach — take any of the following steps, individually or in combination:
- Note the concern and reach out to you.
- Restrict or remove specific content.
- Suspend specific features (for example, temporarily pausing The Lantern).
- Suspend the account.
- Terminate the account as described in Account Termination.
- Refuse future service.
- Preserve, disclose, or report information as required by law or to protect BeDeeper, its members, or third parties.
Where BeDeeper takes action, BeDeeper aims to explain the action and offer a way to respond, except where doing so would compromise a lawful investigation, the safety of another member, or the integrity of the sanctuary.
4. Reporting
To report a suspected violation, write to the abuse contact in BeDeeper's Legal Foundation. Suspected security vulnerabilities follow the responsible-disclosure process in Security & Data Protection. Routine account help continues to use support@bedeeper.com.
5. Changes
Substantive changes to this Policy follow the notification convention in Terms of Service and the effective-date convention in BeDeeper's Legal Foundation.
6. Contact
