FAQ

Questions are part of going deeper.

Here are the answers people usually need before beginning BeDeeper.

The Experience

What is a Passage?

A Passage is a structured space for exploring one meaningful theme from different angles. Each Passage moves through six rooms, so you can stay with the same theme more than once.

Is Journey the same as Passages?

No. Passages are where you explore. Journey is where what you live and discover can remain. Journey is the Library of Lived Experience.

What is Journey?

Journey is the Library of Lived Experience: where lived reflections and discoveries gather so they are not lost after the moment passes. It is not a journal archive or a scoreboard.

What is The Deep?

The Deep is the Passage room where you can stay with a question, feeling, pattern, or discovery and explore it more deeply. You can also talk with The Lantern there when you want to explore further.

What is The Lantern?

The Lantern is BeDeeper's conversational presence for reflection. You can sit with it in The Deep and in other relevant BeDeeper experiences. Observations are invitations, not declarations about who you are. You remain the authority on your own experience.

What are Keys?

A Key is something you choose to keep because it became yours. Keys are not badges, achievements, or conclusions assigned by AI.

What is Compass?

Compass helps you notice the lenses you have been looking through: schools of thought, traditions, identities, and frameworks you choose to name. It does not diagnose you or decide your worldview.

What is Meraki?

Meraki is a symbolic way of seeing what has accumulated through reflection over time: Keys you keep, reflections you write, seasons you live, and Passages you walk. The Tree Within is the visual metaphor for that accumulation. Growth you can see, without being scored.

Do I have to finish everything in one sitting?

No. BeDeeper is built for years, not sessions. Pause, return, leave a Passage half-reflected. The sanctuary waits without shaming you for the pace of your life.

Privacy & Journaling

Are my journal entries private?

Yes. Your journal entries belong to you. They are not shared publicly and are not used for social features. BeDeeper is a private sanctuary, not a platform.

Does The Lantern read my reflections?

When you choose to talk with The Lantern, a limited amount of relevant surrounding context already built in BeDeeper can be included with that conversation. It does not receive your whole journal, and it does not remember everything.

What does BeDeeper remember?

Journey holds what you write or choose to keep. Keys preserve discoveries you chose because they became yours. Some limited surrounding context can support later conversations with The Lantern. BeDeeper does not try to remember everything.

Does BeDeeper tell me what my reflections mean?

No. You remain the authority on your own experience. When an observation is offered, it is an invitation, not a declaration about who you are.

Can I delete my entries?

You can edit and remove your own journal content where those actions are available. You can also delete your account from settings. BeDeeper is designed so your inner life stays under your direction.

Is BeDeeper therapy?

No. BeDeeper is a reflective sanctuary for becoming, not clinical therapy, not diagnosis, not crisis care. If you need professional mental health support, please reach out to a qualified provider.

Membership & Pricing

Is BeDeeper really $1/month?

When billed annually at $12/year, Explorer membership works out to about $1 per month. That includes Passages, Journey, and Lantern access, along with the rest of the BeDeeper experience.

Is it billed monthly or annually?

Explorer membership is billed once per year at $12. There are no surprise monthly membership charges; just one calm renewal when your year is complete.

What is included with The Lantern?

Explorer membership includes 15 Lantern messages per 28-day cycle. When those included messages are used, you can wait for the next cycle or continue with optional Oil ($1).

What is Oil?

Oil lets you continue Lantern conversations beyond the messages included with membership. $1 purchases one full Lantern refill. Unused Oil you add stays available and does not expire.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep access through the end of your billing period, without pressure to stay.

What if I have a billing question?

For questions about a charge, renewal, cancellation, or a refund review, use Membership & Billing on the Contact page (billing@bedeeper.com). Refunds are not automatic; every request is reviewed individually under our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Oil refill purchases are non-refundable.

Can I get a refund?

You can request a refund review for a first membership purchase within seven (7) calendar days, or for a renewal charge within twenty-four (24) hours. Each request is reviewed individually. Oil refill purchases are non-refundable. The full process is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Will pricing change later?

If pricing ever changes, existing members will be notified in advance. BeDeeper is committed to keeping membership accessible. Pricing should invite consistency, not pressure.

Who It's For

Do I need to be spiritual?

No. BeDeeper welcomes anyone willing to notice, question, and integrate, regardless of tradition, belief, or background. The language is poetic, not doctrinal.

Is this religious?

BeDeeper is not affiliated with any religion. It uses symbolic language: Passages, Lantern, Sanctuary. These create a meaningful environment for reflection, not to teach a creed.

Is BeDeeper for beginners?

Yes. Day one is humble by design. You do not need prior journaling experience, meditation training, or self-help literacy. Only willingness to look honestly.

What if I do not know how to journal?

Passages include prompts that meet you where you are. You can write a sentence or a page. There is no audience, no grade, and no wrong way to notice what is true for you.

You do not need every answer before you begin. You only need one honest question.
